BTS - “Black Swan” Art Film performed by MN Dance Company
Maybe this doesn’t entirely qualify as a music video, but the MN Dance Company performance of “Black Swan” has definitely been my most watched K-Pop video this month. I’m not someone who knows all too much about dance—safe to say I am not a dancer myself. However, I’m a proud patron of the arts and was blown away by this performance. The song composition is impeccable and the dance performance, along with the film’s set design, brings it to life to perfection.
Favorite Song
ZICO - “Any Song”
There’s no doubt as to why “Any Song” remains victorious on every chart. It’s entertaining from beginning to end and perfect for every occasion: commuting, de-stressing, partying, cleaning, studying, whatever floats your boat. My favorite thing about “Any Song” is that it remains fresh with every verse; it always surprises you. When you think you’re just about to maybe be sick of it, it ends and you end up looping it all day.
Favorite Live Performance
BTS - “Black Swan” Live at The Late Late Show with James Corden
After that breathtaking art film, I was nervous about BTS’s own performance of “Black Swan.” However, the boys did not disappoint. Aligning with their current U.S.-focused promotions, “Black Swan” was first performed by the group at The Late Late Show. With minimal costumes, stage design, and performing barefoot, BTS gave their own breathtaking performance of the song, certainly one for the books, marking the group’s new era.
