WEi is Fearless in “모 아님 도 (All Or Nothing)”

OUI Entertainment’s 2020 rookie boy group WEi has released their first comeback EP since debut. IDENTITY: Challenge is a five track mini-album supported by the fiery title track “모 아님 도 (All Or Nothing).” The song was co-written by members Daehyeon, Seokhwa, and Donghan. Daehyeon is also credited as a producer on the track. After debuting with the fan-favorite “Twilight” produced by PENTAGON’s Hui, “모 아님 도 (All Or Nothing)” is a polar opposite song in every aspect. The song features the boys delivering dynamic vocal and rap verses over a grunge trap beat. The lyrics of the song depict WEi being fearless and pushing through all the challenges of life. 

The music video is action-packed, featuring WEi’s powerful choreography that matches the song’s dynamic sound. As a group, WEi is composed of members that were already popular and successful in their own right. Therefore, the music video displays each member’s personality through the choice of outfits, hair color, makeup, and individual set designs. The music video’s storyline follows the members resolving the conflict between their outer personas and their inner selves, a challenge that most face in life. 

The mini album features five new tracks, including future house tracks “Breathing” and “Dancing In The Dark,” and R&B-influenced song “Diffuser,” co-written by member Junseo. The album closes with the beautiful piano ballad “겨울, 꽃 (Winter, Flower),” where the group shares their gratitude toward their fans. Their sophomore effort successfully highlights the members’ versatility while putting the focus on their unique and individual styles and how they come together as a group to amplify that dynamic.
