”줄꺼야 (ALL IN)”

The title track “줄꺼야 (ALL IN)” is a dance-pop love confession with melancholic piano and groovy trap sounds that balance out the darker visuals shown in the teasers and music video with soft lyrics. The song describes how you have to do your best, throw the dice, and go “all-in” for love.

Brave Entertainment’s boy group is already known for their versatile talents, so it is no surprise that the members were involved in creating the title song as well. While Teo and D1 contributed to the chorus, the members also created the choreography shown in the music video. And while the song might not be DKB’s strongest track ever, the music video is definitely attention-grabbing. The performance and the visuals give that extra spice that is missing from the song itself.

First Album The dice is cast

The second song on the album, “Flower Less,” is a bit more emotional but hits harder than the title track. “Flower Less” is a dance song about a still growing, longing for a past love that will never blossom—definitely a powerful track.

“Real Love” is a hip-hop track with a rock sound, wishing happiness to the previously mentioned ex-lover, asking her to move on and not to look back even though the emotions are still there. It is a bittersweet goodbye that seems to give a nice closure to the young love theme that DKB has been playing with in their previous EPs Youth, Love, and Growth

And if we think of this album as a finale for the first year of the rookie group, it makes sense that they included so many of their previous tracks from those EPs to showcase a complete storyline. Although The dice is cast was released as their first full-length album and has a total of 10 tracks, only these three songs are new releases, which explains why some major music streaming platforms stated the album as a single and only include these songs.

If this really is a closure, we can’t wait to see what new directions the group will take in the future. Until that time comes, don’t forget to check out the “줄꺼야 (ALL IN)” music video down below.
