D-CRUNCH Battles Time in New Song, “My Name”
One of the most underrated groups to debut in 2018, D-CRUNCH has been consistently releasing powerful comebacks since their debut. The group is back with a new EP titled Daydream, supported by the lead single “My Name.” This marks the group’s first comeback since member Hyunwoo left last December due to a lingering back injury.
The lead single for the EP, “My Name” was produced by world-famous producer BOYTOY, best known for his works with Jackson Wang of GOT7. Producer BullsEyE, known for his work with IZ*ONE, JBJ, and ASTRO, also took part in the making of the song. Leader O.V showcased his songwriting skills for the first time on the track as well. The track finds the boys battling against time to be with their loved one, and the music video follows a similar storyline, with various shots of clocks and the memory of their loved one fading away. The song has a classic EDM drop in the post-chorus, making it an instant earworm.
Highlights among the EP’s B-sides include the EDM-pop track “모래성 (Sandcastle),” and the ballad “너에게 가는 시간 (Time To Go To You),” which showcases the group’s angelic vocals. The new comeback showcases a different side of D-CRUNCH and personal growth, all the while expanding their discography. Watch the music video for “My Name” below!
