Just after BLACKPINK's Rosé and CL attended the Met Gala, one of the—if not the—most exclusive events of the fashion world, idols are also taking over fashion week season all around the world. NCT’s Jaehyun became a worldfirst, KARD’s BM made his runway debut, and EXO’s Kai became the protagonist in Seoul. K-Pop idols are once again proving their global influence through these major fashion moments, and the fashion weeks are not even over yet.

Also, all of BLACKPINK is currently in Paris as Paris Fashion Week started on September 27, so there might be a second round to this article!

Jaehyun - Milan Fashion Week with Prada

Jaeyhun recently made a comeback with NCT 127, and their third studio album has been in the spotlight for a while now. It became the group’s first double million-seller album and debuted aat No. 3 on Billboard 200 — read our full album review HERE.

Amidst the group’s huge success, Jaehyun’s higher-than-ever global popularity has also been recognized by the luxury fashion house Prada. The main vocalist, lead dancer, and sub-rapper of NCT 127 became the first-ever celebrity to stream the Italian brand’s runway show on his personal Instagram account for Milan Fashion Week on September 24, 2021. The Spring/Summer 2022 collection was also presented simultaneously in Shanghai and Milan, bringing the world all together in a hybrid form both in-person and online.

BM - Milan Fashion Week with BOSS X Russell Athletic

KARD’s BM just made his runway debut and at no place other than one of the four biggest fashion weeks of the world, Milan Fashion Week. The rapper walked the BOSS X Russell Athletic presentation alongside world-renowned supermodels Gigi Hadid and Irina Shayk. It’s an interesting collaboration, fusing the art of tailoring with the nostalgic elements of the ‘70s and ‘80s classic sportswear. Definitely fits the image of BM!

And he seems to be booked for the upcoming weeks also, traveling the world from Milan to Paris, and back in Seoul to L.A.. Maybe one day we can also see a STAYDIUM runway show for BM’s own brand?

Kai - Seoul Fashion Week Ambassador

EXO started gaining the attention of brands very early in their career, and soon Kai was the first male endorser for Bobbi Brown and the first-ever Korean ambassador for Gucci in 2019. The major luxury fashion brand even created a capsule collection with Kai and was inspired by the singer. There is no doubt that his global fashion influence will bring a never seen attention to Seoul Fashion Week after being appointed as the ambassador for the event—and it goes without saying that we will follow the schedule as well!

Seoul Fashion Week comes right after the events of the big four fashion capitals (New York, London, Milan, and Paris), and will be covered digitally with no in-person events between October 7 and 15 this year.
