Is it an Error? No, it’s a “Panorama” of Lee Chanhyuk’s Debut
Part of the famous brother-sister duo AKMU (Akdong Musician), Lee Chanhyuk released his first ever single “파노라마 (Panorama)” and solo album Error on October 17, 2022. The album consists of 11 songs, all written and composed by Chanhyuk himself alongside Millennium and Sihwang.
Lee Chanhyuk refuses to let his time be up as he defies death to complete his bucket list. We see him being rushed through hospital corridors as he enters a lucid dream about running from death. Meanwhile, the doctors try to resuscitate him. In the music video, sparks fly as more danger occurs. From exploding electricals to a near-death experience from a car accident, we can feel Chanhyuk’s emotions as he sees the emptiness of his life thus far in a “Panorama” and demands to come back to life.
On another note, there’s something captivating about seeing how our parents used to live back in the 1980s, right? Looking at their old photos, listening to the artists they used to listen to…well, Chanhyuk brought back those times in “Panorama.” The single takes us back to the ‘80s, where robotic vocals and synth were the main trends in music. In the music video, there are references to ‘80s fashion, like those old headphones with the dangly wires that connect to a Walkman. But, is it likely that this track will be released on a cassette tape? Probably not. However, what’s good about today’s technology is that any song can be streamed online, without having to leave the house!
