Easter B-Side Treats

Easter has finally come and gone! While a religious Christian holiday for some, it is an endless chocolate-filled holiday for others. Regardless of how you chose to spend the holiday, let’s take a look at some B-side tracks whose titles have a connection to Easter.

"Chocolate" - SHINee

Just like the eggs we received this Easter holiday, “Chocolate” is an addictively sweet track from SHINee’s fourth repackaged album Married To The Music. The song carries a modern yet retro R&B-pop feel to it as each member lends their smooth vocals to create a sensual and seductive vibe with amazing vocal harmonies and a chorus that will be stuck in your head for days.

"SUNDAY MONDAY" - Apink

“SUNDAY MONDAY” is the mellow opening track to Apink’s 2014 mini-album Pink Blossom. It is a cute love song that uses acoustic guitar and violins behind the girls’ soft vocals, singing about how much they love their partner and how “it’s not enough when [they] see you everyday.” A nice and calming song, “SUNDAY MONDAY” carries quite a K-Drama OST feel to it.

"Butterflies" - Red Velvet

“Butterflies” is a hidden gem from Red Velvet’s 2018 mini-album RBB that layers the members’ stunning vocals over a retro synth-pop melody. This song is so catchy and addictive, especially with the repetition of its “ooh” vocal croons and “butterflies, butterflies” after its calm yet energetic chorus. This song might just become one of your favorite Red Velvet songs.

"Reborn" - Xydo

GROOVL1N Entertainment artist Xydo perfectly showcases his amazing vocal talents in “Reborn,” the closing track from his second EP CYCLE, of which Xydo describes back on your feet and feeling “Reborn” after going through regrets and sadness. “Reborn” uses an electric guitar instrumentation under Xydo’s powerful and smooth vocals to create this sexy and sensual vibe that will have you obsessed with the song and desperately wanting to hear the rest of the CYCLE EP.
