Try Choosing BETWEEN 1&2 with TWICE

K-Pop’s ultimate girl crush group has returned with their new album, BETWEEN 1&2. On August 26, TWICE came back with their first Korean release of 2022 after the unanimous decision to renew their contract with JYP Entertainment. The album contains seven songs, including the title track “Talk that Talk,” the girl power anthem “Queen of Hearts,” and the heartbreak ballad “Gone.” 

“Talk that Talk” is the type of upbeat opening that fans typically think of when they imagine TWICE. This time, they add a little more to the fun, danceable song through the music video. The girl group combines cute and sexy aesthetics and wardrobes that go perfectly with their vocals and the theme of the track. The video has the group interacting with various virtual worlds, including one where they seem to be fighting cats. It also has the big production and catchy dance moves that TWICE is known for.

A fun aspect of this album which was revealed prior to the release was that multiple songs were co-written by different members of the group. Leader Jihyo wrote and had a hand in composing the EDM dance track,“Trouble” while Dahyun co-wrote both “Gone” and the sweet and nostalgic, “When We Were Kids.” 

Overall, the album shows that TWICE and their team have a very clear idea of the group’s sound and how to find new and fresh ways to express their talents and growth while staying true to what makes them TWICE. There’s no way to choose BETWEEN 1&2 with this album; you’ll be jamming along through the whole thing!
