EPEX is Back With New Comeback, EPEX 6th EP Album Prelude of Anxiety Chapter 2. ‘Can We Surrender?’

EPEX is back and has gone super hardcore in their new comeback, EPEX 6th EP Album Prelude of Anxiety Chapter 2. ‘Can We Surrender?’. This is their 6th EP, and it was pretty good. The EP features four songs that capture the metal element they were going for.

Tracklist:

  1. “Surrender”

  2. “FULL METAL JACKET”

  3. “Hit The Wall”

  4. “No Roof”

Title Track: “FULL METAL JACKET”

“FULL METAL JACKET” is the dynamic title track that made our heads turn. Once the song started and I heard that electric guitar, a smile formed on my face. Listeners will instantly start headbanging and taking in the overall metal vibe of the song. The rappers in this group, Keum, Baekseung, Ayden, and Jeff performed energetic and electric raps. The vocalists Wish, MU, A-Min, and Yewang gave such crystal clear vocals in this hard-hitting song. The video is so cool as well. The first-person point of view is a great touch to the already jam-packed video. Something that stood out to me was the dancing. The scene with them dancing in the rain is so cool to watch. I felt like I was a part of the group. It’s a striking song that shows that EPEX can do any concept.

B-Sides

The three B-sides stick to the metal concept well. “Surrender” is the first B-side on the list, and this is my favorite song off the EP. “Surrender” is an upbeat, feel-good track that will have any listener dance along. The collective DAs during the chorus would hype up any listener and have you singing along. It’s an overall fun song. “Hit The Wall” is the next B-side on the EP, and honestly, this song will make any listener want to bust a move. I know I sure did. “Hit The Wall” is a party song, if I ever heard one. This track deserves to be blasted through all speakers, and it will be blasting through mine. The last song on the EP is “No Roof,” and honestly this was such a good way to end the EP. The melody at the beginning of “No Roof” had me looking around the room. The overall sound of the song is metal with a mixture of house music. The beat is awesome, and this track definitely blows the roof off any place. It is powerful and a fun way to end the album.

EPEX came back and has such a dynamic EP on their hands. Listening to their past title track, I wasn’t surprised that “FULL METAL JACKET” is mighty and energetic. EPEX 6th EP Album Prelude of Anxiety Chapter 2. ‘Can We Surrender?’ is high-energy and fun. We can’t wait to see what they have planned for the future.
