Throwback Thursday: 5 Upbeat Summer Dance Alongs

It’s summertime, and you know what that means — it's time for K-Pop summer anthems. Every year during this time, many groups and solo artists will release songs that make us want to go to the beach. Or, even just dance in our rooms. These five songs are only some of the iconic summer dance-along songs we all know and love.

“Power Up” - Red Velvet

We are starting off strong with Red Velvet. This girl group is under SM Entertainment and consists of five members. The members Irene, Seulgi, Wendy, Joy, and Yeri are known for their amazing vocal abilities. Our spooky queens released this summer anthem on August 6, 2018, on their mini-album titled Summer Magic. Just based on the title of the mini-album, it got us all excited for the summer, and it did. The bright and colorful video was just as quirky as their other ones. This song definitely goes down in history as an upbeat, happy song that everyone knows the choreography to, and it always makes it feel like it’s summer time.

“WAVE” - ATEEZ

Hakuna Matata ya! As an ATINY, it is a must to finish that lyric. On June 10, 2019, ATEEZ released a well-known summer banger that brings a smile to many faces. This light-hearted song makes you want to dance along and scream the lyrics at the top of your lungs. ATEEZ is a KQ Entertainment boy group and has eight members.
