JUN Makes Comeback With Single Titled “PSYCHO”

We all know about JUN and the incredible talent that he possesses. Whenever it’s announced that he will release a song, Carats and many other K-Pop listeners in general all grasp at their seats, excited for it to drop. JUN is a member of the popular Pledis Entertainment boy group SEVENTEEN. In the group, there are three subunits: the vocal unit, the hip-hop unit, and the performance unit. JUN is in the performance unit. His amazing dance moves wow us every time he makes a move. On top of that, he is a wonderful vocalist.

In this song, JUN was serving in each scene. Every outfit in every scene was spectacular. My personal favorite was the all-red leather/see-through outfit. That one stood out the most to me, because of how the outfit captured the essence of the video perfectly. The all-white outfit was something new that hasn’t really been seen before. The top resembled a rope that was wrapped around him, and the white pants tied it all together. Then there's the outfit that probably shocked us all. The black open blazer and white pants combo was the cherry on the top. Each outfit went perfect with each background. It was great to see.

The video itself was really intricate. For example, a scene that really caught my attention was the scene when JUN was in a red room. The room resembles a square, kind of like a box. The scene then shows JUN holding a small red box, insinuating that he’s holding the box from the last scene. Watching the video, you realize that some of the scenes relay a message. A message of being trapped in his own thoughts. The whole music video is very artistic and deserves a round of applause.

Now, for his fantastic dancing and singing skills. Let’s first talk about his dancing. Since the song itself is very hard-hitting, with the beat coming in strong, his dancing matched the aggressiveness of the song. Throughout the song, he is able to convey the impact that the piece gave while still telling a story through his dance style. For example, there is a part in the choreography when JUN stops to maniacally laugh. I thought that was a great addition to the choreography in order to add to the theme of the song. His singing matched perfectly with the song. While JUN is known for his dancing, his voice is very beautiful and delicate. It’s always amazing to hear JUN sing and this song had us all in the palms of his hands. This alternative, electro-pop track rocked our worlds the moment the first beat dropped. In addition, this incredible song is sung in Chinese which was so amazing to see. This was a new sound from JUN so it left us all excited for what was to come.

This song is definitely going down in the books as an iconic piece. Overall the video, dancing, singing, acting, and message were all put together perfectly. It was great to see JUN dance in a different style, but still stick to this smooth nature. This isn’t the first time JUN has wowed us with his talent, and we all can’t wait to hear and see more from JUN in the future.
