Loossemble Have Faith in “Sensitive” Debut

The highly anticipated debut of more former members of LOONA have arrived as a new group, now under the name Loossemble! Loossemble consists of members Hyunjin, GoWon, ViVi, HyeJu (formerly known as Olivia Hye), and Yeojin. The group name stands for LOONA Assemble. This is the second unit of LOONA members to re-debut under their new agency since leaving Blockberry Creative following ODD EYE CIRCLE, which consists of members JinSoul, Kim Lip, and Choerry. 

Loossemble debuted with their self-titled mini-album on September 15 with the title track “Sensitive.” “Sensitive” is a pop-funk style track with a catchy beat right from the first second of the song featuring funky bass and percussion. It almost has a similar feel to “Fearless” by LE SSERAFIM but more upbeat. The lyrics convey how being sensitive can make one’s standards clear, and it’s especially noted in the chorus where the girls sing about their confidence as they know the path they want to take. All five girls truly got to shine in this debut and it was so refreshing to see them continue to do so well after everything they had endured prior.

The music video is still true to LOONA lore, particularly through the ending scene after the song ends. The scene opens with Hyunjin opening her eyes and getting up out of an incubator. She moves to stand in the room between two rows of the same capsules counting to 12 total—likely a reference to all 12 members of LOONA. Hyunjin eventually leaves the room to find ViVi in a control room and the two embrace. ViVi then executes a launch and the ship is shown heading towards Earth. Many fans speculate this references the tour the group embarked on for their debut showcase in the U.S., which also started the same day the album came out. 

This debut mini-album consists of eight tracks, including “Sensitive” in both Korean and English, the intro “Searching for their friends,” as well as “Real world,” “Colouring,” “Newtopia,” “Strawberry soda,” and “Day by day.”

Loossemble is currently touring in the U.S. for their debut showcase! The tour opened September 15 in New York City, and the girls are visiting other cities across the country. Many tickets are still available!
