Throwback Thursday: November Debuts Part 2

Hello, and welcome back to more monthly debuts. This is when we take it back and talk about the debuts of some of our favorite groups and soloists. It’s always a joy to see the beginning of our faves and today we are going to do exactly that. So, let’s take it back and talk about some iconic debuts.

Lovelyz - “Candy Jelly Love”

Upbeat, bright, and just lovely. On November 17, 2014, Woolim Entertainment girl group Lovelyz dropped their debut album, Girls’ Invasion. On this album, is their debut track, “Candy Jelly Love.” This track is super adorable and carries that signature bubbly girl group sound from that time. Their vocals are smooth and light. It is a track that will bring a smile to your face. The music video is adorable. We see the girls in school uniforms, bright smiles, and a bright school setting. It’s so nice and refreshing to see the bubbly beginning of Lovelyz. It’s such a good debut track, and I recommend everyone to listen to this adorable song.

MOMOLAND - “JJan! Koong! Kwang!”

On November 10, 2016, we were introduced to the iconic girl group MOMOLAND. On that day, we got their debut EP, Welcome to MOMOLAND. On their EP is their debut track, “JJan! Koong! Kwang!” This dance track is upbeat and addictive. There is a beat that makes you want to get up and bust a move. Just from this track, we can hear the signature MOMOLAND sound that we are used to: that mixture of EDM and pop with a sprinkle of cuteness. To see the beginning of the girls who gave us iconic tracks like, “BBoom BBoom,” “BAAM,” and “I’m So Hot” is so exciting to see. The progression of MOMOLAND is always a joy to watch and this debut will always have a place in our hearts.

Billlie - “RING X RING”

I know we all remember this debut! On November 10, 2021, Billlie dropped their debut EP, the Billage of perception: chapter one. This EP is jam-packed with banger after banger and their debut track, “RING X RING.” The electro sound and hard-hitting beat are captivating, and their vocals make you feel like you're levitating. The music video is like a movie and you are hooked the moment it starts. These girls are so talented and this amazing song being their debut is awesome. Seeing the progression of Billlie from their debut brings a smile to your face and warms your heart.
