KILLIN’ IT - THE 1ST FULL ALBUM OF P1Harmony THE RISE OF HEROES
On January 18, P1Harmony announced their comeback with a first full album and a release date scheduled for February 5. A few days later, FNC Entertainment, P1Harmony’s agency, published the poster for their first album, Killin‘ It, via their official social networks. The album name is partially revealed and has a typo; each song features a personal design, which attracts attention. The members raise the energy for their new album, revealing a trendy and stylized aspect.

On January 22, P1Harmony released a teaser video for “Emergency.” An atmosphere where excitement, danger, and urgency mix. Shortly after, a new music video was released with excerpts from the following three songs: "Street star," “Everybody clap” with freestyle tunes, and “Countdown to Love” with a hip-hop feel. Intak is in the spotlight, accompanying “Street star,” dressed in a pop look, a red leather blazer, and an American T-shirt, offering an eye-catching dance and hip-hop show. On February 1, another MV diffused the pre-listening of the Killin' It album. The last track, “I See U,” that we will only really discover at the time of release is dedicated to the fans, composed as a touching confession to P1ece. This title was written and composed by the members to tell a sincere story to fans.
In this first full album, P1Harmony reveals the completion of a harmonious world with the “HARMONY” series and highlights the members as the hidden heroes (NEW KIDS). This is visible in the video, where the protagonists execute a dance performance. Up top on the light strips, we see "NEW KIDS '' become "NEW HERO", an element also visible in the music video for “때깔 (Killin‘ It)”.
The title “때깔 (Killin‘ It)”is a minimalist track with a catchy synth sound and a well-structured rap flow, paying homage to a fusion of K-Pop and ‘90s hip-hop. During the teaser, many elements take us on the trail of sounds from the ‘80s and ‘90s, notably photos of pendants with large chains, an undeniable and emblematic jewel of rappers. Having become a status symbol, chains represent success and achievement. In “때깔 (Killin‘ It),” the chains are present, and, equipped with rhinestones or shiny dental gems, the members of P1Harmony are ready to reveal their potential and establish their status.
This album highlights P1Harmony’s musical skills through the members participating in the composition of the lyrics. Killin 'It stands out because Jongseop contributed to the writing of all the songs, including the title track. Keeho, Jiung and Intak also collaborated on the writing and composition of many sounds.
Conveyed by shades of color “DISHARMONY” and “HARMONY” during the first six mini-albums, P1Harmony has forged their identity tinged with a unique color. Today, this first full album reflects the confidence acquired over the years. On January 28, FNC Entertainment released a candid interview video with the group, where Keeho said: "I really want to show our skills and talent. Let's do what P1Harmony is good at." What is important for the group is to highlight the different individualities of each person. Jiung says: "We discussed among ourselves the roles and identities each member should have [...] sharing our comments about each other. We try our best to make a song that makes each member stand out. In this sense, we participated in the creation of this album.” Intak also adds that they want to highlight everyone's individual styles, allowing each member to reveal their charms.
As a reminder, the video for their new song “Killin’ It” as well as the other titles will be released on February 5. The album will be available for direct sale on February 7 in Korea and on February 9 in the United States.
