THE NEW SIX Returns in Full Force and Sets Alight with “FUEGO”
THE NEW SIX (TNX) makes a fiery return for their first digital single “FUEGO.” In fact, after the hiatus of main vocalist Junhyeok since January 2023 due to health reasons, and in particular anxiety disorders, the group returned in full with the title “FUEGO.” Meaning “fire” in Spanish, this song expresses the members' desire to burn away all their anxieties and worries in order to move forward. “FUEGO” is a title with a powerful message which reveals the new ambition of TNX. Junhyeok displays a new, more assertive and intense look with fiery hair that matches the title of their new song. It’s also a way of shedding their youthful image to reveal their masculinity.
“FUEGO” features a searing bass house style with an addictive chorus. The track begins with Junhyeok’s wild vocals. Their choreography expresses the element of fire in different ways including hand gestures and movements spreading their inner fire. There is also collaborative dance which reinforces the intensity of this blazing atmosphere. Junhyeok, who begins the chorus, delivers his vocal skills to us. Located in the center, he's surrounded by the other members of the group with precise movements. This gives a feeling of determination and strong group cohesion. This synergy of distinct personalities that Sungjun speaks of defines their greatest strength. The determination shown by Junhyeok is dazzling as Taehun pointed out.
Indeed, to commemorate the release of their first digital single “FUEGO,” the six members organized a showcase at the Ilji Art Hall in Gangnam-gu on March 20 in Seoul. Junhyeok said, “I have been waiting for this moment for a very long time, and I am really happy and excited to be here with all the members after this long time.” He expresses his gratitude and vigorously thanks his team for showing patience with him. He also reveals that he hopes not to disappoint the fans who have been waiting for their return and then adds that the title “FUEGO'' announces the next chapter of TNX.
