“Shoot It Out”
"Shoot It Out" emerges as a standout track, similar to beloved fan-favorites like "End of Spring'' and "AuRoRa." Composed by member Kanghyun, the song delves into the theme of unattainable love, where the protagonist resorts to shooting out a signal in hopes of its existence in a parallel universe. The song begins with a gradual buildup, with Yonghoon delivering the pre-chorus acapella, followed by a powerful rock-infused instrumental. Each member's distinct talent shines through, from Giuk's raspy rap to Yonghoon's unique vocals. “Meteor Shower”
Written by member Giuk, "Meteor Shower" is a lively song characterized by its fast-paced tempo and enchantingly whimsical melody. Serving as a romantic ode, the song beautifully narrates the protagonist's journey of falling deeply in love with their significant other. It's the vibrant and dreamy melody that truly distinguishes this track within the EP, leaving a lasting impression on listeners.
“Counting the Stars”
"Counting Stars" is a heartfelt composition written by Yonghoon during his military service, as he was inspired by the nostalgic reminiscence of summer nights. Driven by a gentle ballad tempo, the track unfolds with dramatic vocal performances by Dongmyeong and Yonghoon, evoking deep emotions and serving as the perfect love confession.
“Kiss in the Rain”
"Kiss in the Rain '' emerges as another tender ballad written by member Dongmyeong. This track is also ONEWE's introduction into the genre of jazz which is a nice addition to their already existent versatility. Characterized by dominant falsetto vocals and retro piano notes, the track exudes a serene ambiance, making it an ideal song for rainy days. The song conveys a message of resilience and optimism in the face of adversity. By metaphorically aligning life's bad days with rainy ones, it emphasizes the importance of seeking peace even on those bad days.
“Pleasant”
The final track of the EP, written by member Harin, titled "Pleasant," lives up to its name by delivering a truly enjoyable listening experience brimming with excitement. Centered around the theme of longing for someone and anticipation for a reunion, the song resonates with anyone who's felt the emotions of missing someone dearly. Harin's dynamic drumming sets a fast-paced tempo, complemented by Kanghyun's captivating guitar solo in the bridge, while the harmonious blend of Giuk, Dongmyeong, and Yonghoon's vocals elevates the emotional depth of the track to new heights.
