ENHYPEN Releases a Special Album MEMORABILIA
Preview of their title track “Fatal Trouble”
On May 13 the official music video for ENHYPEN’s title track “Fatal Trouble” was released on the YouTube channel of DARK MOON. The song is a rock-style ballad with a sinister melody that immerses the listener in an austere atmosphere through the ages. The clip reveals the seven vampire boys in animated format, retracing their story through the web series DARK MOON. A slow narration lets time pass through the window of an old train from the beginning of the 19th century. Eras follow one another, from the industrial years to the 2000s with magnificent fireworks in front of the skyscrapers. Finally, the boys get off at Riverfield station in 2010 where the Decelis Academy is located, bathed in a warm atmosphere in pastel colors. We can observe that as the eras change, the clothing of the characters also changes from spy costumes to the uniform of their academy. This special album opens the memory box of the seven vampires.
DARK MOON: BLOOD ALTAR a story of friendship through the ages
Time passes, the environment evolves and retraces the boys' 200 years of friendship. In the DARK MOON each member of ENHYPEN is represented by a character: Heesung as Heli, Jungwon as Jakah, Sunghoon as Solon, Jay as Yann, Sunoo as Shion, Niki as Noa, and finally, Jake as Jino. In the Webtoon DARK MOON: BLOOD ALTAR, the characters are magnificent, the overall aesthetic is attractive, and the storyline is dynamic. The plot, however, lacks a little originality and has great similarities with Twilight, mixing vampires, werewolves, and a protagonist at the heart of conflicts. Adding a little air of Boys Over Flowers with the popular group, the arrival of Suha shakes everything up. Some pages may also offend the sensibilities of the youngest readers, but it’s a work nevertheless captivating with its beauty and its characters who we identify with boys by their humor, beauty, and charisma.
MEMORABILIA TOPS ITUNES ALBUMS IN 21 COUNTRIES
“Fatal Trouble” reached the top 10 in 12 countries including Thailand, Peru, and Vietnam, demonstrating its popularity. In Korea, the album topped the real-time chart on Bugs.
MEMORABILIA reveals six songs including the titles: “Teeth” performed by Jungwon, Heeseung, Sunwoo, and Niki, and “Lucifer” by Jay, Jake, and Sunghoon. The word memorabilia means collectibles and souvenirs, and appropriately the album is offered in two versions (“Moon” and “Vargr”).
The vocal performances of the title song “Fatal Trouble” are also noteworthy. During the episode published on May 14 on Weverse and YouTube, the members of ENHYPEN, and in particular Heesung, Jay and Jungwon, express the difficulty of the chorus which includes both very high and very low notes.
