Throwback Thursday: The Color is Purple

Welcome back! This month we are on the color purple. This color comes in different shades and is such a vibrant and expressive color. Every album picked is from groups we know and love and is as expressive as the color purple. So, let's take it back and look at these high-spirited purple albums. 

CLC - Devil 

On September 6, 2019, former CUBE Entertainment girl group CLC dropped their upbeat, groovy single, “Devil.” The electric guitar, claps, and synth beat in the background create a melody that makes you want to dance. The members Seunghee, Yujin, Eunbin, Sorn, Elkie, Seungyeon, and Yeeun are seen in the video doing diabolical things to one another and trying to hurt each other. The bright colorful background and the sinister actions create a memorable video. The single cover is bright, and the purple background with bold pink letters makes a captivating cover.  Devil - Single is a fun track that many still know word for word.

SEVENTEEN - SEVENTEEN 2nd Album ‘Teen, Age 

On November 6, 2017, Pledis Entertainment boy group SEVENTEEN dropped their second album, Teen, Age. The album is home to 13 unforgettable tracks that hold a special place in our hearts. The title track “CLAP” is one of SEVENTEEN’s catchiest songs. “CLAP” is a cheery, dance-along track that makes you want to clap. In the video members S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, DK, Mingyu, The8, Seungkwan, Vernon, and Dino are seen with bright outfits and are full of joy and it’s a sight that brings a smile to your face. The B-sides “Intro. New World,” “Change Up (Leaders Unit),” “Bring It,” “Lilili Yabbay (Performance Unit),” “Trauma (Hip-Hop Unit),” “Pinwheel (Vocal Unit),” “Flower,” “Rocket,” “Hello,” “Campfire,” and “Outro. Incompletion” are special songs that show who SEVENTEEN is as a group. 

Tomorrow x Together (TXT) - The Dream Chapter: ETERNITY - EP

On May 18, 2020, Big Hit Entertainment/HYBE boy group TXT (Tomorrow X Together) dropped their iconic EP, The Dream Chapter: ETERNITY, and rocked the world. The EP has six songs in total that are dreamy and magical. The title track, “Can’t You See Me?” is a masterpiece to many. The members Yeonjun, Soobin, Beomgyu, Taehyun, and Huening Kai are all seen in the video expressing amazing acting skills. The song's vocals are breathtaking, making you feel like you are levitating. The rest of the EP features iconic tracks, “Drama,” “Fairy of Shampoo,” “Maze in the Mirror,” “Puma,” and “Eternally.” The bright purple background and TXT logo create a captivating, beautiful cover. It’s a great EP for all to love.
