CIX Kicks Off Third Concert Tour, <0 or 1>, in NYC
Back once again, CIX returned to New York City to deliver an electrifying show and kick off their highly anticipated third world tour.
The show began with an electrifying start; even before the group graced the stage, the venue reverberated with an eruption of cheers. As "Move My Body" flooded the speakers, fans across the venue couldn't resist dancing and singing along with unwavering fervor. The energy only escalated as the group transitioned into "Change Me," with fans shouting their excitement passionately.
As the lights came up and the members took a brief moment to introduce themselves, fans across the venue eagerly waved their member slogans and shouted words of encouragement and endearment. Taking a few seconds to interact with FIX before diving into the upcoming tracks, the atmosphere was charged with anticipation. Soon, the lights dimmed and the group carried into “BAD DREAM,” “Save me, Kill me,” and “What You Wanted.”
One thing that sets K-Pop shows apart from other concerts is their use of VCRs. If you attend K-Pop concerts regularly, you can probably recall a few memorable and creative ones that you've seen. For many groups, VCRs serve as a moment to let loose, convey a message, or simply have fun! For CIX, their VCR took the form of a game show, perfectly aligning with their album concept of AI—it was an amusing component that allowed fans to immerse themselves in the group's world.
A highly anticipated segment and undoubtedly a fan-favorite part of the show unfolded with their solo stages. Known for their charisma-filled, charming solo performances, CIX did not disappoint as usual. The segment commenced with Hyunsuk captivating the audience with his rendition of LANY’s “ILYSB,” followed by BX delivering Marteen’s “Left to Right” with his own flair. Yonghee took the stage next, mesmerizing fans with his rendition of Troye Sivan’s “Angel Baby,” while Bae Jinyoung followed suit with Jungkook’s “Seven (feat. Latto).” Lastly, Seunghun concluded the solo stages with a soulful performance of Alicia Keys’s “If I Ain’t Got You.”
With limited time in their setlist, CIX seized the opportunity to perform a medley of tracks. Without spoiling the surprise, they delivered hits from their previous albums, featuring songs that FIX absolutely adore.
Riding the wave of excitement, the group seamlessly transitioned into their debut track, "Movie Star." Fans were completely caught off guard by the surprise addition of an electrifying dance break and a fresh remix and their awe could be seen through the crowd. Moving from their debut to the present, the next song of the night was "Lovers or Enemies," from their most recent release, 0 or 1—the namesake of the tour.
During the interim, as the group caught their breath, they took a moment to connect with FIX and express their heartfelt sentiments to the audience. Acknowledging the nerves that come with returning to the stage in front of crowds, the members took the time to thank fans for their support and cheers as it gave them strength. They also expressed their gratitude for fans’ patience in the time they were gone and asked for them to remain patient until they can return again soon.
Following their ment, the energy continued to soar with performances of "458," "Drown in Luv," "My Name is Shadow," and “Cinema” captivating the audience with each track.
If you’ve attended a CIX show in the past, you know they typically end with "The One," it’s become somewhat of a tradition for the group. While they did perform that track, just as fans started to cheer and expect a final bow, the chords of "Color" began, making it the unexpected closer of the show. As the final notes of "Color" echoed through the venue, it was evident that CIX had once again exceeded expectations, adding another unforgettable night to the books.
