UKISS Returns with 13th Mini-Album, LET’S GET STARTED

The long-time veteran boy group UKISS is back! After making a group comeback after a long hiatus, the group consisting of Eli, Soohyun, Kiseop, Alexander, and Hoon are back with their 13th mini-album, LET’S GET STARTED. After some time off, KissMes (their fandom name) are now  able to see the group reconvene with this comeback, and are beyond excited to be receiving a proper album.

Tracklist:

  1. “Love is You”

  2. “Stay with me”

  3. “Man Man Ha Ni - 2024 Version”

  4. “Beautiful you are”

  5. “Morse code

Although it’s been a year since the group moved as a unit, UKISS proves that they still have the drive and ambition to keep creating music together. This album is the perfect summation of patience and care in wanting to re-enter the industry. With the resurgence of (mostly) second-generation groups reuniting, UKISS has found the perfect opportunity to remind fans that they haven’t left and get to reintroduce themselves once again to newer fans. The group’s sound has matured as they have blossomed into fine men. This could certainly be confirmed with the vibes of the new tracks. During their earlier years, UKISS was known to have high-octane, energetic dance tracks and now, while it is still upbeat, there is something more soft and easy-going for this album.

One track, however, off this album “Man Man Ha Ni”, UKISS’s massive hit, has been remastered for 2024.If you were around in 2009, you would know that this song took the music scene by storm with how addictive and catchy it was. To get a remake of this hit was a gift to the group’s long-time fans, and a sign that they haven’t forgotten some of their original roots. Despite it not being their debut song, one could say that “Man Man Ha Ni” was a song that solidified their mark in the industry. This new version is a much more electro-pop dance track that elevates the song to be more club-centered, but still sticks to the same vibe that the original gives.

Although there is no direct music video that was released for the album, they did release performance videos for “Man Man Ha Ni” and “Stay with me.” It truly is great to see UKISS together again. Unfortunately, not all the original members of the group are present, but it’s still such a delight to know that this group is together and creating music again. The group is slated to have a comeback concert in the works, giving KissMes reassurance there will be more opportunities for the group to keep pushing forward.
