KEY’s “Fresh” new release Tongue Tied is here

Key takes on the role of an online fortune teller in this ‘90s/2000s internet, nostalgia-filled concept.

The Japanese single, Tongue Tied, is paired with an interactive website with pop-ups that link to his personal Instagram, a link to pre-order the single, and SHINee’s official SNS accounts. On the website, you can ask the all-knowing Mr. Freak for answers to all your concerns, which will come in the form of a colorful graphic featuring Key and his dogs, Comme Des and Garçons.

The title track, “Tongue Tied,” is reminiscent of Key’s second album, Gasoline, released in 2022. The chorus is addicting, with a mix of English and Japanese that flows together into the repetitive post-chorus, which is equally as sensual. 

The track's music video will be released on July 3, while the physical release of the single is not until August 7. This is the veteran singer's first Japanese single.

The second track, “Fresh,” is the perfect summer release with its upbeat tempo and Key’s energetic vocals.

The single is available now on all major music streaming platforms. The physical album is available for preorder in four versions: Tarot Card Ver. and jewel cases Occult Ver., Freaky Ver., and Unrealistic Ver.
