PURPLE K!SS Makes First Japanese Comeback with ON THE VIOLET

After spending weeks touring North America on their 2024 BXX TOUR, PURPLE K!SS have returned to Asia with a new Japanese EP. Released on July 17, ON THE VIOLET contains Japanese versions of four previously released Korean tracks. This EP serves as the group’s first Japanese comeback after their debut in the region last March. Every song features translated lyrics penned by PURPLE K!SS member Yuki, a Japanese native.

Tracklist

  1. “BBB - Japanese ver. -”

  2. “Pretty Psycho - Japanese ver. -”

  3. “7HEAVEN - Japanese ver. -”

  4. “So Far So Good - Japanese ver. -”

“BBB - Japanese ver. -”

Like all of PURPLE K!SS’s previous Japanese music videos, the Japanese version of “BBB” reuses the concept of its Korean counterpart. It still features the members decked out in “tough girl” outfits, yet surrounded by flashy and playful visual cues. This iteration utilizes more colorful cut-ins that lean into the carefree nature of “BBB.”

The other Japanese versions released on the EP include PURPLE K!SS’s summer title track “7HEAVEN,” the promoted B-side “Pretty Psycho,” and the ballad “So Far So Good.” “Pretty Psycho” and “So Far So Good” originally released on the group’s memeM and Cabin Fever EPs, respectively. The release of ON THE VIOLET coincided with the Asian portion of their 2024 BXX TOUR, which started the same day in Osaka. PURPLE K!SS will perform in Kanagawa on July 20, then head to Taipei in August.
