“Come On” and Dance to NMIXX’s Collaboration With DJs Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike

NMIXX and Belgian DJ duo Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike ended the week on a high note with their collaboration single “Come On.” Released on September 26, this EDM track doubles as NMIXX’s first English song and Dimitri & Like Mike’s second collaboration with a K-Pop group. The two brothers released a remix of (G)I-DLE’s “HWAA” in 2021, and now they have helped produce an original song with NMIXX. Dutch producers Bob Sandee (also known as Subgroover) and Merijn Bergé (also known as Eauki) also contributed to the song.

“Come On” hopes to refresh people after their nine-to-five job. Its lyrics—written by Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Kelli-Leigh Henry-Davila, Louis Ryan, and Melo Nada—tell listeners to relax after a long work week by dancing the night away. The song samples The Jacksons’s song “Can You Feel It” from 1981; “Come On” credits Michael Jackson and Sigmund “Jackie” Jackson, who created the original arrangement.

The track comes with a lyric video designed like dance rhythm games such as Dance Dance Revolution and Pump It Up. These games rely on players to hit colored arrows with dance moves to the beat of the songs. The bright colors, the retro feeling, and encouraging lyrics truly create an energizing feeling. The collaboration is out exclusively on streaming platforms.
