Throwback Thursday: Into The New Year

HAPPY NEW YEAR! We are now in 2025. With that comes New Year's resolutions, changes in our lives, and looking forward to what this new year will bring us. There are songs that we listen to to help us start the new year off on the right foot. To bring in the new year, let’s talk about some tracks that are perfect for that exact moment the clock strikes midnight. 

Girls’ Generation - “Into the New World” 

On August 5, 2007, SM Entertainment mega girl group Girls’ Generation debuted with one of the most well-known, most loved debut songs known to man. “Into the New World” is an upbeat, feel-good song about a new beginning. As the title suggests, this is a new world. With a new year, we are entering this new world. This bubbly track is the perfect song to start your New Year's. “Into the New World” is a song about love, but these lyrics can be used in any new beginning in your life, and with the new year, you will have plenty of those. “Into the New World” was the beginning of Girls’ Generation and could be the perfect song for your beginnings.

NCT DREAM - “Hello Future” 

Just like the title says, it’s time to say a big hello to the future. On June 28, 2021, NCT Dream dropped the uplifting song we all needed. “Hello Future” is a bright, colorful, cheerful experience. With the new year coming, it is time to say hello to the future. The future can bring so much to your life, and it’s best to open it with a bright smile. This song will put that smile on your face. Before the year ended, I was able to hear this masterpiece live. The euphoric feeling you get when hearing this song is unexplainable. This is one of the best songs to start your New Year's with. You will be excited and ready to conquer the year feeling amazing. 

IVE - “After LIKE” 

On August 22, 2022, IVE dropped their explosive, iconic dance track, “After LIKE.” If you time this song perfectly, you will be on the final chorus once it strikes 12. At the right moment when the fireworks go off in the music video will be when the fireworks go off around you. This is a great song to start your new year with. “After LIKE” is a retro track that makes you want to jump around your room, singing and dancing. The girls really gave us an upbeat track that will always be a joy to listen to. So, right before it’s time, queue this song up and enjoy a night of pure fun.
