Throwback Thursday: SEVENTEEN Edition

On May 26, 2015, Pledis Entertainment mega group SEVENTEEN debuted and rocked our world. A group full of talented dancers, singers, and rappers, SEVENTEEN is an unforgettable group with a fantastic discography. With the boys being on tour at the moment, it only felt right to talk about their stellar lineup of music. So, let’s take it back and talk about some marvellous SEVENTEEN songs.
“Left & Right” - Heng:garæ - EP
On June 22, 2020, SEVENTEEN released their breathtaking mini-album Heng:garæ - EP, a stunning collection of six songs that range from upbeat, fun tracks to heart-clenching ballads. The title track of the mini-album is their cheerful dance track “Left & Right.” A track with such a catchy beat, “Left & Right” is a song that will make you want to dance, rap, and sing along. We all know what amazing dancers the SEVENTEEN members are, and on this song, their seamless synchronization looks flawless, and the attention to detail adds to the subtle quirkiness of the track.
“Home” - SEVENTEEN 6th Mini-Album ‘YOU MADE MY DAWN’- EP
On January 21, 2019, SEVENTEEN released an album that brought listeners to tears and brought everyone to their feet. SEVENTEEN 6th Mini-Album ‘YOU MADE MY DAWN’- EP is a delightful EP with six songs that have a range of emotions, character, and sound. The title track from that EP is their breathtakingly beautiful ballad “Home.” It’s a striking ballad with gorgeous vocals that will have you mesmerized. Throughout the song, the members deliver skillful vocals that draw you in. As a ballad, the rappers S.Coups, Wonwoo, Mingyu, and Vernon shift from their usual electrifying rap flows to a calmer, soothing tone that fits the song's vibe. As said before, SEVENTEEN pays so much attention to detail with everything they do, and it shows in the choreography for this release. It's such a heartfelt song with such a powerful message.
“_WORLD” - SEVENTEEN 4th Album Repackage ‘SECTOR’
On July 18, 2022, SEVENTEEN released their exciting album SEVENTEEN 4th Album Repackage ‘SECTOR 17’. The album is a thrilling repackage with 13 songs that are all a joy to listen to. The title track “_WORLD” brings happiness to many who listen to it. It is personally one of my favorite title tracks by the group, and it is because of the feeling that I get from the song. The instrumental for this is upbeat. You can hear each instrument individually, and they all shine in this song. The drums are pronounced, and the synth beat matches the joyful retro concept they were going for. The members sound amazing in this song. You can hear the glee in their voices, and it makes you want to join in and sing with them. It’s a beautiful song that will always be a favorite to so many.
