Right before Mystic Story boy group ARrC released their third EP, HOPE, in July, they teased “SKIID,” the title track of their first single album. Released on November 3, CTRL+ALT+SKIID contains two songs meant to raise the mood of those feeling trapped in life. ARrC also promotes solidarity—a shared desire to overcome challenges together—with a collaboration featuring labelmates Moon Sua and Siyoon of the girl group Billlie.

“SKIID”
Through “SKIID,” ARrC wants to replenish the energy of listeners who may feel stuck in an uninspiring loop of daily life. The song combines elements of jazz and hip-hop for a continuous, engaging beat. According to a press release, ARrC adds “SKIID” to the keyboard command “CTRL, ALT, DELETE” as their own way of rebooting outlooks. Instead of immediately halting all emotions, they encourage skidding, making a smooth turn after a sudden stop. The music video reflects this message by showing the members feeling unrewarded at various service jobs, then embracing their work.
“WoW (Way of Winning) (with MOON SUA X SIYOON)”
Billlie’s main rappers help ARrC spread encouragement through a new collaboration. Moon Sua and Siyoon, who debuted as a duo in April, also contributed lyrics to this U.K. garage song. While the instrumental sounds light, the singing and rapping come off mighty. The lyrics change a defeatist attitude into an optimistic attitude.* ARrC’s powerful collaboration with MOON SUA X SIYOON makes this a must-listen song. It is certainly a win.
