ZEROBASEONE’s New EP Is A BLUE PARADISE

It has been almost two years since ZEROBASEONE debuted, and they have released hit after hit ever since. Their cheerful pop/R&B dance tracks have been bringing smiles to everyone's faces, and with their new EP, they did precisely that. BLUE PARADISE has six songs, each with its own quirk.

BLUE PARADISE - EP Tracklist:

  1. “BLUE” (Title Track)

  2. “Devil Game”

  3. “Doctor! Doctor!”

  4. “Out of Love”

  5. “Step Back”

  6. “Cruel”

The color blue can represent many different things: the sky, sadness, water, brightness, the list goes on. At the beginning of the video, we see a door with a bright, glowing blue light behind it. When member Zhang Hao opens the door, we are transported to a world where the rest of the members exist. The moment the song starts, we get to hear that signature ZEROBASEONE upbeat sound that we are used to from the group. Bright and bubbly, the song's melody will make you feel like you are floating on a cloud in the blue sky. The members are outstanding vocalists, and in the song, their smooth, soft vocals make this track sound bright. ZEROBASEONE has these moments in their songs where they collectively sing together, which sounds heavenly. Every time the members sing, they always sound cheerful, brightening your mood while listening to the song.

Throughout the video, there are so many representations of blue. The lyrics even talk about the color blue. With lyrics like, “I wanna run, into your world of bright blue,” and “Come to me in the colors of the starry night,” you get the impression that they use the color blue as a means of love. Most people think of blue and think the theme is sad or unhappy, but the boys are the exact opposite in the music video. They use the color blue to show the mixed emotions one feels while in love. There are scenes where the members show many emotions that show that love can outweigh you. For example, there is a scene in which we see member Ricky crying. It’s such a great added touch to the music video that adds to the theme. “BLUE” is so good, and it being a gift to ZEROSE is the icing on the cake.

The B-sides on the EP are so much fun to listen to. For example, we get a unit song on this EP, which is so good. The unit, Zhang Hao, Gyuvin, and Jiwoong, sound amazing together on this rock and R&B fusion track. There is a B-side on this EP for everyone and lovers of any type of genre. So, check out BLUE PARADISE - EP for a fun, upbeat time.
