Throwback Thursday: Iconic Dance Practice Videos Part 2

Oh, how we love dance practice videos. It is so much fun to watch our faves come together and perform the choreography of our favorite songs. Today, we are going to take it back and talk about some dance practice videos that bring us pure joy.

EXO - “The Eve”

On August 3, 2017, SM Entertainment's iconic boy group EXO dropped the dance practice to their well-known B-side, “The Eve.” This sensual R&B track is known among many K-Pop fans, and if you ever wondered what the dance to this song would be like, watch this video. While watching the video, some moments stand out to you—for example, how each move hits directly on the beat. While the moves are performed smoothly, they still hold so much energy and fire behind it. As previously said, this song is very well-known, and many fans recreate the choreography so well down to the proper arm movement and sway of the hips. It’s such a good song and the dance practice adds to it.

SEVENTEEN - “_WORLD”

On July 23, 2022, SEVENTEEN dropped their dance practice to their upbeat, bright title track, “_WORLD.” This dance practice is filled with cheerful smiles, giggles, and bubbly energy. We all know what amazing dancers SEVENTEEN are. Even when they are playing around, they show their exceptional talent. The “S” in SEVENTEEN definitely stands for synchronization. Throughout the video, you notice that there isn’t a foot out of place. Just like previous releases from the group, the choreography is intricate and precise. There are moments in the dance where the members are moving in between each other and mirroring one another, showcasing the undeniable talent of SEVENTEEN. It’s such a fun song, and the dance practice video will bring a smile to your face.

SHINee - “Lucifer”

There’s no way I can talk about dance practice videos and not bring up the OG of dance practice videos. On August 3, 2010, the SM Entertainment YouTube account uploaded the dance practice video to SHINee’s super well-known song, “Lucifer.” Everything about this video is iconic: the cloud background, Taemin’s striped shirt, and many more things stand out and stick in your mind. During the video, you can see the members perform an intricate dance that many try to recreate to this day. The recent influx of videos of people dancing to “Lucifer” makes you want to go back and watch the video. It’s an iconic video and will go down in history.
