K-Pop Music Videos by Paranoid Paradigm

Beomjin aka Paranoid Paradigm is a member of the creative group VM Project Architecture where he serves as the team's director. Their videos include striking colors often displayed in the artist's clothing or the set background in the form of a solid color.

Paranoid Paradigm directed both “Bam Yang Gang” and “Sugar Rush” by BIBI. The latter has a video filled with candy and cakes to go along with the song’s lyrics. The video is playful and attention-grabbing with dance crew BB Trippin members Charlie and Dun as life-sized rats who dance around with BIBI.

“CHEERS,” released by the leaders of SEVENTEEN in 2022, is one of the sub-unit’s most popular videos.. The iconic dance is captured by a series of wide shots where the members wear various outfits that contrast the backup dancers.

Red is the main color in Hwasa’s “Maria:” red hair, nails, dresses, backdrops, and blood splatter. These scenes are spliced with shots of Hwasa and her backup dancers wearing nude-colored shirts and grey pants in a white room.

While no music video on the album was directed by Paranoid Paradigm, the album preview video itself for Eternal was. Opening with TAEMIN being interviewed presumably by another version of himself, the video’s cold color palette gives off an eerie vibe. The directing of the video creates an isolated feeling, with TAEMIN alone in dark rooms and staring at his reflection. Paranoid Paradigm also directed two of the solo artist’s earlier works “Criminal” and “IDEA.” The two videos are visually very different from the Eternal preview with their colorful and elaborate set designs and wardrobe.
