8TURN Shows Their Limitless Energy in “LEGGO”

8TURN has come back with their first single album ahead of their first world tour. On March 4, they released LEGGO, which includes two songs: the title track of the same name and their first English song. Jaeyun, Myungho, Minho, Yoonsung, Haemin, Kyungmin, Yungyu, and Seungheon are ready to head out into the world with an unbridled confidence.

The Title Track: “LEGGO”

After releasing the new jack swing single “Like a Friend” in December, 8TURN experiments with the genre again in “LEGGO.” Old-school hip-hop and new jack swing combine in this youthful and high-energy track. The group hopes to achieve an unrestricted and unique way of living through this song. 8TURN uses the phrase “LEGGO” as a call to action for others to do the same. 8TURN’s youngest members, Yungyu and Seungheon, participated in writing the song’s lyrics with 유지상, Kim Sumin (김수민), and WUTAN. 

The B-Side: “I Want You Now”

“I Want You Now” is an English pop song that relies on a guitar riff as its central musical characteristic. Written and composed by Henrik Sæter, Simon Klose, and Peder Elias, “I Want You Now” serenades listeners with romantic messages of what love feels like. This cute song will warm people’s hearts just like how love gets them “going like the sun on a summer day.” 

Exciting Times Ahead for 8TURN

As an added aspect to the comeback, 8TURN also unveiled cartoon mascots of themselves. These fun characters will appear in merchandise as well as within a temporary in-person photo zone in Seoul for the comeback. After promoting LEGGO, 8TURN will embark on their first world tour 8TURNRISE, which begins April 9 in New York, USA.
