It’s JENNIE’s World & We All Live In It

There is no doubt that this album has brought a lot of hype considering we didn’t know what JENNIE would be bringing to the table next. With “Mantra” being such a pop-dance track, JENNIE could have gone any way she wanted. With Ruby, JENNIE brings a stacked lineup of featured artists as well as a range of R&B, hip-hop, pop/dance tracks that will get you feeling energized, confident, and overall great. There is something for everyone for this album, and for those who are massive fans of JENNIE, you won’t be disappointed and will enjoy this album from beginning to end.

To coincide with her release of her album, JENNIE has also dropped the music video for “like JENNIE” which is a song that is her “it girl”/power anthem. JENNIE confidently knows that she’ll have everyone’s attention and that everyone wants to be “like JENNIE.” She is laying her own blueprint and making a name for herself. She knows she’s a trendsetter and will be stuck in your head. “Like JENNIE” is a high-octane dance track that is addictive and sure to get in your head once you’ve listened to it. Though most of her album is solely in English, “like JENNIE” still gets space for JENNIE is also rap in Korean which is a great callback to her roots. The music video isn’t complex but rather chooses to focus on the sharp and precise choreography for this song. Don’t be surprised if you see the “like JENNIE” dance challenge start to make its rounds as you can’t help but be drawn to the choreography.

Ruby is definitely confident, sensual and showcases a mature and grown version of JENNIE. Since taking over her own solo activities, Ruby truly shines as getting to see more of that “JENNIE style” that many have been yearning to see her reach her full potential. In many ways Ruby is JENNIE’s re-introduction to the music scene to remind those that she is solidifying her name as a powerhouse artist in the industry.

This won’t be the last time you’ll see JENNIE as she is set to hit the desert of Coachella this summer for the massive music festival and then later on reuniting with her BLACKPINK members in a world tour for 2025. There is hope that like the other members who have also released solo work this year, we’ll be able to see them perform their solo work on stage as well. 2025 is the year for BLACKPINK so don’t be surprised when you see them take over your feeds throughout the year.
