Best of July 2025

July has been one of my favorite months for comebacks this year. So many amazing artists (both boy groups, girl groups, and soloists) have released strong singles that I can't get enough of. Here are some of my favorites.

“Finale” - Super Junior

Veteran K-Pop group Super Junior celebrated their 20th anniversary this month, gifting us with their incredible 12th album, Super Junior25. From the nine tracks, the penultimate track "Finale" stands out as my favorite B-side with its upbeat and youthful energy. Fitting to its title, "Finale" has a sound that would be excellent for a concert encore stage, with the members running around, interacting with each other and the crowd before bringing the show to an end. It's a feel good track with a rock composition that offers both a sense of nostalgia and freshness, everything us E.L.Fs (Super Junior’s fandom) love about Super Junior and their music.

“Slide to me” - ATEEZ

ATEEZ's YUNHO serves up a delicious slice of groove and funk with his solo track "Slide to me," the ninth track from the group's GOLDEN HOUR : Part.3 'In Your Fantasy Edition.' The composition and melody transports listeners into past eras, particuarly with a Michael Jackson inspired sound to it. Being a solo track, YUNHO's vocals completely shine through as he serenades listeners with his charm. Like the lyrics say, “Slide to me” leaves you craving for more of YUNHO and his vocals, never wanting to leave from his chilled and flirtatious atmosphere.

“Access”- Jackson Wang

Jackson Wang delivers musical seduction with his sultry R&B track "Access" from his latest album release, MAGICMAN 2. Diving deep into places of authenticity and vulnerability within the MAGICMAN album series, "Access" vastly differs from the other tracks. With its laidback, hypnotic, hip-hop beat, and suggestive lyrics, Jackson performs “Access” with a suave and enticing rap approach. The only downside to the "Access" is how short the song is with it having a duration of under two minutes long, leaving you with a craving for more from the multi-talented star.
