New boy AHOF just made their debut! As an acronym for “All Time Hall-of-Famer,” the nine member group was formed through SBS survival show Universe League and released their first mini-album Who We Are with title track “Rendezvous” on July 1. Before their debut activities, AHOF sat down to speak with The Kraze about their debut, inspirations, and more to introduce themselves to the K-Pop world.

Watch the video interview below, transcriptions as well to follow.

Q: Can you please introduce yourself to those who are seeing you for the first time?

A: Hello, this is AHOF! We are excited to make our debut and share it with our fans and The Kraze viewers. Come learn more about us and our debut in our chat with The Kraze and keep an eye out for our upcoming activities. We hope to see you all soon!

Q: Your name means “All-time Hall Of Famer,” what do you want AHOF to be known for in the K-Pop industry?

Steven: As befitting an “All-time Hall of Fame,” we want to become a group that will remain in the memories of fans for a long time with our individuality and teamwork.

Q: What lessons from Universe League will you carry forward into your career as AHOF?

Shuaibo: I was happy that I had stage experiences. I think I can do it well in AHOF’s performances.

JL: Of course, I learned how to cooperate with people and the most important thing is how to be patient. I think these are essential when working with other people.

Q: EL CAPITXN, an acclaimed producer and a prominent mentor on Universe League, participated in the production for your debut album. How was it like getting to work with him again as a group and what can fans expect from the album?

Woongki: EL CAPITXN producer is a person that I admire and like more than a producer. I was so happy that I could work with him and soon, if I have a chance, I want to work again.

Q: What are you looking forward to the most about your debut?

Chihen: I am so excited to show you guys who is AHOF so please look for it!

Daisuke: I am so curious about how we will improve and be famous in the future! Please look forward to it!

Q: Do you have any memorable moments to share from preparing your debut album??

Steven: The most memorable moment was when we shot the music video for the first time, four days straight. It was long but very fun.

Han: During our late-night practice, we chatted and talked a lot, which was a really enjoyable moment.

Q: Can you describe more about the feeling or message you’d like fans to take from your debut album?

Juwon: In the album, we expressed our feelings, so I hope everyone gets positive and good energy through the music.

Q: What is your favorite track on the album?

Steven: My favorite is “Incompleted.”

Jeongwoo: I like two songs which are the title and “The Universe!”

Woongki: I love all the songs in our album for [different] reasons.

Shuaibo: Our title track! Because it is first song of AHOF.

Han: I like “Incompleted.”

JL: For me, same as Woongki hyung, I love all the songs from our album too.

Juwon: I like “Cosmic Underdog” My tension and mood goes high whenever I listen to it.

Chihen:  For me, [it] is the “Incompleted.”

Daisuke: And for me is the “Cosmic Underdog.”

Q: What concept would you like to try in the future?

Woongki: I want to try all concepts without limits. I think we can do everything!

Juwon: I want to try a hip-hop concept!

Q: What artists were your inspiration for getting into music?

Steven: I got influenced by IU musically.

Jeongwoo: Back in time, it was BTS and recently I am into RIIZE Sohee’s vocals!

Woongki: I really want to become an artist like, compose myself, sing myself, like IU. When I saw her, I really wanted to be like her.

Shuaibo: For me it is Girls’ Generation and TWICE.

Han: I grew up watching Michael Jackson when I was young, and I naturally liked dancing and singing. And when I turned 20, there was a moment when I almost gave up. At that time, I watched a musical movie called tick tick...BOOM!, and the main character Jonathan Larson’s mind and story really touched me. Then I pulled myself together again.

JL: For me, I got inspired from Sandara Park, 2NE1, and BTS’s V.

Juwon: For me, it is ZICO!

Chihen: For me, it’s EL CAPITXN producer!

Daisuke: BTS and NCT!

Q: Last question, is there anything specific you’d like to share with your fans and our readers?

Chihen: Everyone! AHOF just debuted so let’s meet a lot! Please show us lots of love and support!
