With back-to-school time upon us, we can expect those days when we return home feeling super drained. The best way to alleviate that feeling is to take a relaxing shower, put on your headphones, and play your most soothing playlist. So, let’s take it back and talk about some super relaxing songs to calm our minds after a chaotic day.

DEAN - “Instagram”

On December 26, 2017, well-known K-R&B artist DEAN released his hit single “Instagram.” Complete with calming guitar strums and a soothing voice, you can’t help but lie back, close your eyes, and vibe to the song. Once the beat comes in, it's tame and compared to other DEAN songs, this one is so relaxing. DEAN is known for his powerful, soulful voice, but in this song, he sings with a lot of falsettos and a breathy tone. Even as the beat speeds up, the breathy sound is still present, just with an added bass in his tone. It’s a calming song, and would be perfect for those days when you just want to relax.

GOT7 - “Thank You, Sorry”

On November 23, 2020, GOT7 released their jam-packed album Breath of Love: Last Piece. Filled with upbeat, danceable tracks with hard-hitting beats, eye-catching choreography, and strong vocals, there is one song that stands out against the rest. The seventh song on the album, “Thank You, Sorry,” is a mellow, relaxing track. Carrying a heavy resemblance to a ballad, the beat of this song is smooth and slow. The members are singing with a breathy tone, and each lyric is sung at a quieter tone. The members can be heard singing in a falsetto for the majority of the song, and the way they harmonize with one another sounds heavenly. If you needed a tune to help you study or just a tune to help you relax, this is the perfect track.

Wonder Girls - “Why So Lonely”

On July 5, 2016, former JYP Entertainment girl group Wonder Girls released their upbeat, but tame track, “Why So Lonely.” Jam-packed with a wide range of instruments, the pace of this track is relaxing. The drums, bass guitar, and keyboard create this Reggaeton beat that will make you move your head along. The girls' voices are so calming, and singing in falsetto, while also harmonizing with the lower tones, sounds magical. They really do a great job at creating a comforting aura for the listeners.
