Compared to the previous title track "VIRAL," the new title track "ANIMAL" introduces a sound that shifts the album's direction. With “VIRAL,” the retro-themed sound aligned with what listeners have come to expect from BOYNEXTDOOR. This title track, “ANIMAL,” is an electrifying, EDM-heavy track that broadens the genres BOYNEXTDOOR will cover. Listeners accustomed to the members' boyish charm will find that this comeback proves they can deliver harder-hitting tracks. “ANIMAL” uses not only EDM but also experimental-pop and electropop elements. These are elements one might hear in tracks from artists like Charli XCX. The track is very hype. From the beginning, the thumping bass beat has fans nodding along, and the members' hearty barks are infectious enough to make listeners want to join in. Throughout the song, the members rap at a fast pace that matches the track's upbeat tempo, and as each verse progresses, they match the song's chaotic, exhilarating momentum with precision.

In the music video, the BOYNEXTDOOR members cause havoc for everyone around them. They run through construction sites, catch bouquets at weddings, and move through crowded areas. There is one moment in the music video that stands out. Near the end of the track, all the members begin to glitch. The scene then cuts to an underground space where they run and party, but then, in a creative shift, the members are portrayed as video game characters. It's a fun moment that throws viewers for a loop. While watching the video, viewers also take in the choreography. Matching the track's intensity, the choreography is full-force, harnessing the members' momentum and energy. With fast-paced leg and footwork and swift position changes, viewers' eyes move from member to member. It’s a commanding but fun dance that would have fans either wanting to dance along or watch in awe.

HOME: DELUXE rewards repeated listening. The new tracks “ANIMAL,” “CLICHE,” “Count To Love (Korean Ver.),” “400 Years,” and “Boom Boom Boom” all have different sounds, giving fans plenty to explore when choosing a standout track. So, go and check out BOYNEXTDOOR’s new release, HOME: DELUXE.
