Ever since their unforgettable debut in July of 2023, ZEROBASEONE has been on a steady incline–gathering fans from all over the world, releasing upbeat, addictive tracks, and being an overall fun group to stan. The group consists of nine members: Hanbin, Jiwoong, Hao, Matthew, Taerae, Ricky, Gyuvin, Gunwook, and Yujin. Their charming, bright, and striking concept works perfectly, and every comeback showcases that side of ZEROBASEONE, no matter the theme. Their new release, ZEROBASEONE Special Limited Album [RE-FLOW], is a three-song EP that brought many to tears, but had us all excited for what is to come.

The release begins with their beautiful track “Running to Future.” This song is a groovy ballad that showcases the strong vocals of the ZEROBASEONE members. It is always a gift to hear a ballad, and normally, they are the songs that close out the album, but switching it up for us, “Running to Future” sets the tone for the rest of the release. The song's lyrics are beautiful. Throughout the song, the members are singing about what they hope for the future. You can hear them talking about how, even later in life, they will always reconnect and how they wouldn’t trade this feeling for anything. They say they will never leave and want to remember them as the miracle they were. Lyrics like these can bring you to tears, and while watching the video, you can feel the tears brimming in your eyes. The music video shows past moments of the members. Moments they’ve had as a group, whether it be music videos or behind-the-scenes moments. It’s the memorable moments that will have you reminiscing and smiling.

The next song is their track “ROSES.” A striking track with a heavy hand and a choir opening. That alone will grab your attention, and once you are locked in, you are locked in for the rest of the song. “ROSES” is a very upbeat track that will have you moving your head along to the beat. A cute song about a crush, this track showcases the members' powerful vocals and the rappers’ insane flows. Throughout the song, the members sing with strong falsettos, and their belts are powerful. The music video is very cute. The animation is very bright and colorful, enhancing the song's already jolly feel. It’s such a fun song that I can see being a favorite amongst many.
Just when I thought I were done crying, the last song on the album brought me back to tears. “LOVEPOCALYPSE” is a cheerful track about connection. Sticking to that signature upbeat ZEROBASEONE sound, “LOVEPOCALYPSE” is a track with a groovy beat, addictive lyrics, and stunning vocals. While listening to the song, you get to take in the magic that is the lyrics. In the song, the members sing about being one and being bound by fate. Talking about how all they have left is you, their “LOVEPOCALYPSE.” It’s a beautiful song that, when added with the heartwarming video, will bring you to tears. In the video, we see the members doing something they truly love: performing. While on stage, you see them with bright smiles and bubbly energy. They look so happy, and that, in turn, brings a smile to your face. It’s an enjoyable song to close out the release.
