Throwback Thursday: My K-Pop Playlist On Shuffle Part 2

Part one was so much fun, it only felt right to do another part. It is so much fun to just press shuffle on your playlist and see what the vibe of the day is going to be. So, today we are going to press shuffle on my K-Pop playlist, which is home to hundreds of random K-Pop songs, and see what the vibe of the day is going to be.
The Boyz - “MAVERICK”
On November 1, 2021, The Boyz released their iconic, high-energy EP THE BOYZ 3RD SINGLE ALBUM [MAVERICK]. Home to three unforgettable songs, the title track is one that many rave about to this day. “MAVERICK” is a striking track with an electrifying beat, moveable bass, and unbelievable vocals. The song is one that will bring you to your feet and have you wanting more. I still remember the day I heard this live. I was on my feet at a loss for words because of how good this performance was. The chorus is hard-hitting, and that high note at the beginning of the final chorus had everyone screaming at the top of their lungs. “MAVERICK” is a song that will bring the energy out of everybody listening, and you can’t help but sing along to the song.
ATEEZ - “Don’t Stop”
On January 31, 2022, KQ Entertainment boy group ATEEZ released their hit single “Don’t Stop,” a hard-hitting track with an enticing beat that has a ground-shaking bass. ATEEZ is known for their captivating music, and “Don’t Stop” is a prime example of that. The moment the song starts, the electrifying beat grabs your attention, and you are ready for the rest of the song. The moment member Mingi starts with this verse, his raspy tone matches that more rugged concept and sound. When the vocal members come in, their skillful vocals create a more lighthearted tone while still keeping to that theme. “Don’t Stop” is such a fun song, and I hope to see it one day. I can only imagine how exciting it would be to see that performance in person.
TWICE - “CHEER UP”
On April 25, 2016, JYP Entertainment mega girl group TWICE had their first comeback with the release of Page Two - EP. It’s a lighthearted and bright EP with six songs that people still love to listen to to this day. The title track of the EP, “CHEER UP,” is a staple when it comes to TWICE releases. “CHEER UP” is a well-known, well-loved track by the girls, and its bright, bubbly sound still brings a smile to many listeners' faces. Throughout the song, the girls' joyful vocals are on full display as they belt striking high notes and powerful runs. For this being the girl's first comeback, they did a fantastic job. This is a favorite for many, including me, and it will always remain an iconic release from the girls.
