TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT) made their comeback with their 8th EP, titled 7TH YEAR: A Moment of Stillness in the Thorns, released on April 13, 2016. This new release marks a symbolic milestone in their career, celebrating their seven years of activity while exploring more mature emotions.
AN INTROSPECTIVE ALBUM MARKED BY NEW MATURITY
With this project, TXT partially departs from the fictional narrative of their early work to express themselves more personally. The members share their doubts, questions, and emotions, offering a universal message that many listeners can relate to. They reveal that this album is directly inspired by the emotions they felt during contract renewal discussions. This project thus becomes a true artistic interpretation and expression of this pivotal moment in their journey.
Musically, this EP offers a total of six tracks blending electro-pop, introspective pieces, and more experimental sounds.

A SYMBOLIC PRELUDE CHARGED WITH MEANING
This prelude marks a clear break from their previous work by adopting a dark, slow, and deeply introspective aesthetic. The thorn motif plays a central role, representing the doubts, tensions, and difficult decisions the members faced, particularly during their contract renewal. The still, almost silent atmosphere conveys a suspended moment between two stages of their career: the end of their artistic youth and the beginning of a new, more mature chapter. More than just a teaser, this prelude acts as an artistic statement, revealing a group moving towards a more sincere and personal expression of their emotions.
“Sick With You,” AN EMOTIONAL TITLE TRACK
The title track, “Stick With You,” is described as an electro-pop song with a catchy chorus. It addresses the desperate need to hold onto a relationship on the verge of ending. The narrative depicts a gradual build-up of anxiety before revealing a gentler conclusion: the person wasn't distant, but was actually preparing a surprise, a birthday party for him. "Him," represented through the lens of the five members, symbolically embodies different perceptions of this inner anxiety, adding a unique emotional dimension.
This song perfectly captures the inner turmoil and uncertainty experienced by the members, demonstrating that anxiety is sometimes a purely internal process.
With this EP, TXT makes a symbolic and emotional return, transforming a pivotal period in their career into an introspective musical work. Between artistic maturity and emotional sincerity, the group confirms a deliberate evolution towards a more personal and authentic sound.
