MAMAMOO Say “AYA” in Newest Music Video
MAMAMOO has returned with their tenth mini-album, TRAVEL, which is yet another unique concept that never seems to disappoint fans. Each track is different and has its own unique musical style that shows each members’ talent.
The title track “AYA” is an Arabic-inspired song that has a groovy feel due to the variation of music in the track. It was composed by RBW’s Kim Dohoon and Lee Sangho, in addition, Moonbyul took part in composing and writing the lyrics. The lyrics express the feelings of forgetting about a love that is quite toxic and has to be gone from their lives. The track has a very distinct slow bridge that will definitely keep listeners engaged throughout this song. The song follows the trend of “talk singing,” which the members have truly mastered and never seem to disappoint with their musical abilities.
The music video is beautifully produced in which each member has their own distinct style and scenes, and they come together as a group perfectly to put the track together. The music video matches the music genre with cheetah prints and sand to display the theme of the jungle. Each member played a huge role in ensuring that the music video comes together from their dancing scenes to their individual close-ups.
The album starts with the track “Travel,” which is a pop track that would be perfect to listen to when you are travelling, just like the title of the track. “딩가딩가 (Dingga)” is an upbeat pop track in which Moonbyul stands out with her sharp rap skills. “척 (Chuck)” is definitely a groovy track that will get your body moving. The album slows down with “Diamond,” a seductive, sexy track that brings back the “talk singing” trend. The last track, “잘자 (Good Night),” is a soft ballad to end of the album with each member’s soothing vocals.
MAMAMOO has returned with a new and improved concept to keep fans wanting more, so please support and love them!
