Secret Number Say They “Got That Boom” in New Single

It’s only been six months since Secret Number blew us away with their powerful debut single Who Dis? and they’re not wasting any time, already giving fans even more content with their second single album, Got That Boom!

Got That Boom contains two songs, much like their last release—the title track “Got That Boom” and “Privacy.” 

“Got That Boom” combines EDM, hip-hop, and house genre elements to create an impressive dance track that oozes a powerful aura and complements the members’ confidence. The composition and structure of the song give listeners a catchy flow, making it easy to follow along, whether it be singing or just dancing to the beat. Compared to their debut, which was really only vocal-heavy during the chorus, “Got That Boom” showcases more of their vocal ability. They all improved quite a bit in the short time they were given to prepare, but Soodam, Léa, and Dita stood out, boasting clear and stable vocals during their live performance. 

“Privacy” proves to be yet another S tier B-side from SECRET NUMBER as it flaunts more outstanding vocals in a melodic pop track similar to “Holiday” from their debut. As the main rapper of the group, it’s expected that Jinny will blow us away with her usual flow—and she did—but the vocal line she had was a favorite in this track simply because of her tone. Denise also outdid herself vocal wise on this single album when it comes to stability and ad-libbing. Unfortunately, we didn’t hear much from Léa at all despite the fact that she’s debuted once before and has more training and industry experience under her belt. Hopefully, for the next comeback, the members all get an equal share of lines and attention.
