ONEUS’s Own Small Miracle – Reach For Us Tour in Pasadena
As a cool night settled over Pasadena, California, February 4, 2023 marked the final stop on the U.S. leg of ONEUS’s first world tour, Reach For Us. Just over three weeks of traveling, performing, and meeting thousands of TO MOON brought Seoho, Leedo, Keonhee, Hwanwoong, and Xion through 10 cities across 9 different states.
There is a particularly unique energy to be found at a ONEUS concert, something that can be attributed to the group’s highly varied discography and expertly crafted performances. As someone who has attended their fair share of the group’s shows, this is a particular energy that I know well and cherish thoroughly. This particular ONEUS concert, however, was something different.
The difference was not something seen or heard – it was something felt. The formula remained nearly the same as the previous U.S. shows. Save for an extra encore performance of the fiery 2021 single “No Diggity,” the setlist did not change. Nonetheless, the end of the U.S. Reach For Us run was imbued with a special kind of something, something that echoed in each note of their songs and buzzed in the air within the Pasadena Civic Auditorium.
“After many trials and errors,” begins the second verse of “Gravitation,” the heart-wrenching track leading the concert’s emotional third VCR. All of life’s trials lead ONEUS to that stage, to that day. “If I can meet you at that moment, maybe it’s like a miracle.” Each of the 10 U.S. Reach For Us tour dates were their own small miracles, rejoining ONEUS and TO MOON in a night of give and take, both sides playing off of each other’s extraordinary joy and energy.
As the Latin American leg of the Reach For Us tour also draws to a close, the group’s first world tour becomes a collection of new, beautiful memories, forever etched in the book of ONEUS.
