Not So Sad Title Track: “SAD SONG” & “SAD SONG” (English Version)

From the first listen, you find yourself looking back at the song's title. Sad Song? This definitely doesn’t feel like a sad song.  From previously released TikTok videos, you can already see how hyped this song is.

“SAD SONG” is an upbeat dance track, with a hint of Latin influence. Just like the lyrics said, I do want to dance. I found myself up on my feet dancing to this track. Some parts of the song make you move your head to the beat and scrunch in your face. For example, the rap in the second verse had my face balled up because of how good it is. The chorus incorporates that ionic P1Harmony chant style that makes you want to sing along. Something else that stood out to me was the choreography. You get to see how with each beat there is a dance move that hits it right on the mark. I can see this as a dance that many are going to learn. It just looks like it's so much fun to dance to.

The music video is so vibrant but warm at the same time. The bright colors and cool outfits stand out compared to the scenes that show a more warm approach. The video is very artistic, and felt like I was watching one of those teen drama movies. I do have a favorite part, and it is when they are dancing in the water. The smiles on their faces, the striking dance moves—it looked like they were having so much fun.

The English version is the song that ends the album. Something that makes this version different, besides being in English, is the flow of the lyrics. For example, you can hear a slight difference in the delivery and flow of the rappers. Both versions are so much fun to listen to, and it has become one of my favorite title tracks by them.

Top Tier B-sides

Starting strong, “It’s Alright” is a groovy track that makes you want to sway your hips. Compared to the title track, this song is slightly tamed. With a mixture of reggaeton and pop, we get a certified dance track. Also, I know you guys heard those vocals. That high note. Those riffs. The members’ vocals were on full display. This song became my favorite and instantly added to my playlist.

For those who love a rock spin on pop (me), then this song is for you. Throughout “Last Call,” you can hear the beat of the drums and strums of the electric guitar. The high notes make you feel like you are levitating, and you can’t help but smile while listening. Of course, this song was added to my playlist. While listening, I can already imagine this song being played on their next tour.

Sticking to that rock sound, “Welcome To” adds a different spin to it. While the previous song was more pop, “Welcome To” has a darker sound. The electric guitar is present and creates this more eerie sound. I am getting a more Fall Out Boy sound from this track and I am here for it. The difference is just a chef’s kiss; of course, it was added to my playlist.

Is that a ballad I am hearing? Well, sort of. “All You” is the R&B track we were waiting for. Something that I love and something many PIECEs love is that P1Harmony can take a genre and still add their own flare to it. The piano in the beginning, the addictive beat, the storytelling vocals, and the flow of the rappers create a rhythmic, funky track. Being another favorite of mine, it was definitely added to my playlist.

For those who love a good rap song (me again), this is the song for you. We all know what amazing rappers the P1Harmony members are, and this unit did not come to play. Remember that face scrunch? Yeah, that happened for this song too. The beat is something I haven’t really heard done before, but this sound fits them. There is something about a good rap that makes you just want to become a rapper yourself. You guys know where this went: right to my hype playlist.

This is an excellent mini-album! I recommend for everyone to check it out. So, go and listen to SAD SONG, and tell us what songs you added to your playlists.
