New Boy Group Recommendations

Back in August, I recommended songs by three fairly new and different girl groups who I had discovered around the time of writing the article. Now, it's the boys’ turn! So, here are three new boy groups I've recently discovered that should be on all of your K-Pop playlists right now!

“FaSHioN” - CORTIS

Big Hit Music's newest boy group, CORTIS, entered the industry with a bang on August 18 with the single “What You Want.” Three weeks later, their EP, COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES, was here with CORTIS now on everyone's radar. Full of six new and fresh tracks, it is "FaSHioN” that has me hooked. Although repetitive within the chorus with the word “fashion,” there is just something exciting about the song with its trap, hip-hop beat, production style, and that repetitive aspect I mentioned that gives “FaSHioN” a unique edge that so many people have, and will continue to, become obsessed with.

“overthinking” - TWS

From their fourth mini-album, play hard, TWS deliver sunshine and vacation vibes in the fifth single "overthinking." With its feel-good electronic-dance beat, TWS's soft and blissfully sweet vocals guide the song into a place of happiness and warmth, also emitting a sense of nostalgia through its production. Having not yet fully immersed myself into their world, "overthinking" is a great introductory track that has made me want to listen to more of TWS's music.

“Problem Child” - NOWZ

From their first mini-album IGNITION, NOWZ (formerly known as NOWADAYS) released the incredible single “Problem Child.” To me, this song has an old school, aggressively toned pop-hip hop sound that I am obsessed with in K-Pop music. The vocals are strong with captivating rap verses and a striking chorus that immediately grabs the listeners attention, making you want to check out more of NOWZ's work and hear more from them in this particular sound.
