DAY6’s Dreamy New Single “Maybe Tomorrow”

DAY6 has been booked and busy. Between touring the world, bagging brand deals left and right, and maintaining their status as Korea’s top band, the guys still found time to release their new single album Maybe Tomorrow.

The digital album comes with two tracks, its namesake “Maybe Tomorrow” and B-side “game over,” and both offer new sounds to the band’s already diverse repertoire. “Maybe Tomorrow” is an encouraging pop-rock track that leans into the guitars and percussion a bit more than recent DAY6 releases. The song, which Young K said is about finding hope in every tomorrow, feels almost like an antithesis to 2020’s “Zombie,” as this time around the boys urge listeners to power through the bad days because a better day is always on the horizon. Young K further stated the song is based on the season of spring and the sense of rebirth that comes along with it—a perfect choice for a release in May.

Despite their ongoing tour, DAY6 still managed to film one of their most involved music videos yet. The video for “Maybe Tomorrow” is as whimsical as the concept photos, with each member overcoming their troubles as they go to sleep and dream of flying amongst the clouds. While the story is simple, it’s easily the most we’ve seen regarding special effects and stunts from the band. It’s clear they had some fun filming it, and when that joy is paired with a calming color palette and one of the most easy listening tracks of 2025, it’s hard not to feel like you’re floating among the stars right along with DAY6.

Like “Maybe Tomorrow,” “game over” takes a more relaxed approach than DAY6’s recent music. But make no mistake: subdued does not mean somber, as “game over” sees the band explore a more alternative sound. The track is particularly suited to Sungjin’s rich and gravelly tone—something the other members have been sure to praise.

If there’s one thing DAY6 can do, it’s write a comforting song, and Maybe Tomorrow gave us two. They somehow have a knack for telling people just the words they need to hear in musical form: it’s no surprise that “Maybe Tomorrow” has already floated to the tops of Korean music charts (with DAY6’s other hits not far behind). Since last year with Band Aid, they’ve been mainstays on the charts lately—and it looks like Maybe Tomorrow just expanded their property on the market.
