EVERGLOW Celebrates Earth Day in New York

Earth Day may technically be on April 22, but on April 15, EVERGLOW joined in on The Shops at Skyview Mall’s celebration of the event. Skyview’s celebration included a day of events focused on art, fashion, makeup, charity and awareness. The quartet made of Sihyeon, E:U, Onda and Aisha connected with fans by answering questions, sharing in fashion, art and community service. It was a day not only to raise awareness, but to give back and to meet student FOREVERs who had worked hard on projects in anticipation of meeting and sharing their results with EVERGLOW. The Shops at Skyview Mall have become a destination for K-Pop artists who want to take time to connect with their fans and give to the community in a more intimate setting. The lucky FOREVERs there that day got that chance by just registering and being there.

The platform of seats were reserved for a select number of lucky fans, but there was standing room plenty for those who wanted a chance to see this event. Through the first interviews, EVERGLOW shared that they had participated in writing the lyrics for “Can’t Be Broken,” their fan song from their latest EP, CODE. The song is especially meaningful as they’ve had a recent lineup change, moving from six members to four. The four revealed through their words and actions, that they are as united as ever. When the interview segment was over they returned for the fashion segment.

Each member had donated a piece of clothing that had been re-designed into another outfit. Each high school student designer chosen had the freedom to change the donated work any way they wanted to create a new recycled item that reflected the member. Each member was wowed with the changes that were made and each were thrilled with the new design. It’s clear that the young budding designers were all talented, and the designs stayed on display through the Skyview Earth Day celebrations. Charitable giving was another aspect of this event; fan and community members donated clothes for those in need.

Art is another area that is explored at each Skyview event and this was no exception. Recycling printed materials, each member picked a fan and they both created flowers using pre-cut materials. The idea was to create something beautiful to reflect the earth from recycled materials and they did just that. Students also submitted artwork to be selected in an art contest as well. The finalists who entered who used recycled materials to create original works were also selected.

EVERGLOW would share later at a media interview event how much the interactions and seeing fans at the event reinforced their determination to work harder in appreciation for all the love they received from all those there and those from all the other events that they attend. As EVERGLOW takes off on their tour, we wish them all the best and more interactions with FOREVER. As it is said, “EVERGLOW, forever, let’s go!”

Thank you to The Shops at Skyview Mall, CHXXTA Company and to EVERGLOW.
