Get a Dose of “Vitamin ME” with fromis_9

Summer usually includes milestones for fromis_9. Past summers saw them release their first full album in 2023, release the mega hit “Supersonic” in 2024, and re-introduce themselves as a five-member group in 2025. fromis_9 is continuing to make summers special with the recent release of their second full album, Glow ME.
The 10-track album, which came out on July 21, includes the members’ talents beyond singing. Every member contributed to the album’s production. Glow ME shows fromis_9 at their brightest.

“Vitamin ME” brings summer elements through a bossa-nova instrumental and bright melodies. The repetition of “me” in the chorus comes off as memorable as each note goes up in pitch. For a group with such a stellar summer discography, fromis_9 knows how to create earworms that match the season.
Its music video feels reminiscent of fromis_9’s “WE GO” with the air travel theme and the product parodies feel in line with a similar concept from “FUN!” It never teeters towards an overly silly tone, though fromis_9 look like they enjoy portraying both flight attendants and passengers in this video. When they reach their destination, the true vacation starts.
Unit Tracks
Glow ME features the unit tracks “Cold Blood” and “Why do I cry?” Chaeyoung, Nagyung, and Jiheon form a sub-unit in “Cold Blood,” co-written by Chaeyoung. Mentioned by Nagyung as “quite challenging to record,” the tone in “Cold Blood” comes off strong-willed, firm, but not emotionally stricken. The “coldness” lies in an unbreakable internal shield.
“Why do I cry?” certainly brings the emotions absent from “Cold Blood.” Atop an alt-pop instrumental, Hayoung and Jiwon spill their hearts out. “Cold Blood” tries not to let in vulnerability, but “Why do I cry?” highlights vulnerability from its core.
The rest of Glow ME is also worth checking out, especially the songs the fromis_9 members contributed towards. Hayoung co-wrote and co-composed “Screen Time,” a soft R&B track that ironically would sound great while detoxing from screen time, and Jiwon co-wrote and co-composed “Teacher,” a groovy Afrobeats song that teaches a lesson in sweet vocals. Jiheon co-wrote the lyrics of “Day 1,” a cheerful rock song, and Nagyung co-wrote the lyrics of “Wonderland,” a track that tones down the energy but not the positivity. “Wonderland” creates an ending theme with strings and piano. While not a summer-themed album, Glow ME shows fromis_9’s continued evolution.
