With a touch of magic, Hearts2Hearts has made their debut in Japan. After coming out with a Japanese version of “RUDE!” in March, Hearts2Hearts officially released their first Japanese single album on August 12. By introducing the original Japanese track “ICONIC HEART” and two Japanese versions of their recent Korean songs “RUDE!” and “Lemon Tang,” Hearts2Hearts comes prepared to tackle this music market.

“ICONIC HEART”

Hearts2Hearts’s love of EDM continues in “ICONIC HEART.” Using club beats and chirpy electronic notes, “ICONIC HEART” creates non-stop energy. It’s expressive, chaotic with all its sound bites, but it oozes color. Co-produced by South Korea-based studio HATTRICK and Japan-based studio TYO MONSTER, the “ICONIC HEART” music video borrows from the Japanese magical girl concept. Complete with flashy, sparkly transformation sequences and dramatic poses, Hearts2Hearts unleashes their own kind of girl power. The members end up looking and acting much like Sailor Moon’s sailor scouts.

The group follows a student representing Falabella, Hearts2Hearts’s mascot, in order to help her feel more comfortable expressing herself. The members encourage Falabella to join their fun, teaching her to dance with them. Through these efforts, the members manage to capture the missing magic they had been looking for.

In celebration of this Japanese debut, Hearts2Hearts opened their Japanese fanclub and will continue with activities in the country into the fall. They will hold their first Japanese fan event, READY! S2U, in November. Before then, the group will make appearances at various festivals in August and September.
